The 8th Ranked Kansas Jayhawks crowned a historic season by earning their first BCS Bowl victory after defeating the # 3 Virginia Tech Hokies 24-21 in the FedEx Orange Bowl. The Jayhawks were the nation's highest-scoring offense this season at 44 points per game; however, it was their defense that helped seal the victory with 5 sacks and 3 interceptions that led to 17 points.
