Indiana defeated UC Santa Barbara on penalty kicks after a 1-1 tie. After two overtimes, the Hoosiers got the best of a penalty kick shootout by a tally of 3-2. The Gauchos, coached by Tim Vom Steeg, were behind in the game, but Drew McCarthy tied it up late in regulation. The game was played at the Robert H. Hermann Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri.
