UCLA defeated Baylor. Baylor was top-seeded, undefeated, and on a 57-match winning streak, but UCLA won the title, thanks to Kris Kwinta?s victory over Lars Poerschke. The competition was held in College Station, Texas. It was UCLA?s first national title since 1984.
