Purdue defeated Texas A%26M by a score of 82-56. Texas A%26M was seeded thirteenth and had pulled off two big upsets, but they were overpowered by the top-seeded Lady Boilermakers. Purdue eventually lost to North Carolina in the Final Four round of the tournament, and finished the season with a record of 29-5.
