Louisiana Tech defeated Alabama by a score of 69-66. Alabama was led by All-Tournament Team selection Betsy Harris. Louisiana Tech was also led by All-Tournament Team selections in Pam Thomas and Vickie Johnson. The game was played at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. Louisiana Tech would go on to lose to North Carolina in the championship game.
