Cal State Fullerton defeated Arizona State 3 games to 1, by scores of 5-1, 6-7, and 7-1. The Titans were led by shortstop Justin Turner and designated hitter P.J. Pilittere, both of whom were members of the All-Tournament Team. Fullerton, coached by George Horton, went on to participate in the 2003 College World Series.
