In the 2003 NCAA Division I Men's Baseball National Championship series, Stanford lost to Cal State Fullerton once, but beat them twice. In the third and final game between the two teams, Stanford won by a score of 7-5 in the 10th inning. Stanford went on to lose to Rice in the finals.
