Alabama defeated Miami by a score of 8-6. The Hurricanes were coached by Jim Morris. Alabama was led by All-Tournament Team selections Matt Frick, Joe Caruso, Andy Phillips, and G.W. Keller. The Crimson Tide, coached by Jim Wells, went all the way to the final game, but lost to Louisiana State. The game was played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.
