Pacific Lutheran defeated Rowan by a score of 42-13. The Lutes, coached by Frosty Westering, ended their season with a record of 13-1. The game, known as the Stagg Bowl, was played at the Salem Football Stadium in Salem, Virginia. The victory earned Pacific Lutheran their first ever national championship.
