Oklahoma defeated UCLA by a score of 3-1. Oklahoma was led by the tournament?s Most Outstanding Player, pitcher Jennifer Stewart. Lisa Carey also played a key role by hitting a two-run homer for the Sooners. The victory earned Oklahoma their first and only national title in softball.
