Minnesota defeated Washington by a score of 3-2. The Gophers were led by the Most Outstanding Player, Cassie Besse, who tallied 25 kills and 10 blocks. All Tournament selection Paul Gentil turned in a terrific defensive effort with 27 digs. It was a close contest, but once Minnesota gained momentum, they never relinquished it.
