North Carolina defeated Indiana, 2-0. North Carolina was led by Ryan Kneipper and Danny Jackson, who scored the only goals in the game. The Tar Heels finished their season with a record of 21-4 and also avenged a quarterfinal loss to the Hoosiers from the previous year. The game was played at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. It was the first ever national title in mens soccer for UNC.
