1997 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer National Championship - UCLA vs. Virginia
UCLA defeated Virginia by a score of 2-0. Both goals were scored by Seth George in the final eleven minutes of the game, after being repositioned from attacker to midfielder. The Bruins, coached by Sigi Schmid, finished their season with a record of 22-2. The game was played at Richmond Stadium in Richmond, Virginia. It was the first national title for UCLA since 1990.
